Calvary Chapel Davao Bulletin 3rd Week of August 2012

August 19, 2012 By Calvary Chapel Davao Leave a Comment

Pastor’s Message

Exodus 15:13 In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed.

In context, this chapter was the song of Moses and Miriam acknowledging God’s miraculous power upon them and many more.
It’s really the Love of God that enabled us to have guidance and lead us in our everyday lives. God never fails in keeping us, preserving us and sustaining us in every moment of our lives. He redeemed us and His unbounded Grace and Love is faithful forever.

Psalm Reading

Psalm 66:13-20
New International Version (NIV)
13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
and fulfill my vows to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
and an offering of rams;
I will offer bulls and goats.
16 Come and hear, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened
and has heard my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!

Calvary Chapel Davao Bulletin 3rd Week of July 2012

July 15, 2012 By Calvary Chapel Davao Leave a Comment

Pastor’s Message

Titus 1:16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

Paul talks about those people who simply talks about God but didn’t receive the knowledge of the Saving Grace. These people were deceivers, taught false doctrines, and their minds and consciences are crooked.
I believe people in the Church of Christ should reflect and consider it too. That we should not only say our knowledge about God but also to live it out w/ sincerity because knowledge of the truth about God leads to godliness.

Psalm Reading

Psalm 62
1 Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
3 How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down—
this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
4 Surely they intend to topple me
from my lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.[b]
5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[c];
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
9 Surely the lowborn are but a breath,
the highborn are but a lie.
If weighed on a balance, they are nothing;
together they are only a breath.
10 Do not trust in extortion
or put vain hope in stolen goods;
though your riches increase,
do not set your heart on them.
11 One thing God has spoken,
two things I have heard:
“Power belongs to you, God,
12 and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.”

Calvary Chapel Davao Bulletin 1st Week of May 2012

May 4, 2012 By Calvary Chapel Davao Leave a Comment

Pastor’s Message

Psalm 119:111 Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.

Looking at this particular passage of scripture, God taught and reminded me that life is not about what you have materially but it’s about having God’s word as your inheritance and legacy. People nowadays craved for power, personal interest, material things & etc. yet forgotten the most important thing in life “The WORD (Jesus)”. Therefore as God’s people let’s remember what Jesus had said: Heaven and earth will pass away buy my WORDS will NEVER pass away.

Psalm Reading

Psalm 54
For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil[b] of David. When the Ziphites(A) had gone to Saul and said, “Is not David hiding among us?”

1 Save me, O God, by your name;
vindicate me by your might.
2 Hear my prayer, O God;
listen to the words of my mouth.
3 Arrogant foes are attacking me;
ruthless people are trying to kill me—
people without regard for God.
4 Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me.
5 Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
in your faithfulness(M) destroy them.
6 I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.
7 You have delivered me from all my troubles,
and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

Happy Birthday
