A session from:
Pastor Joseph Jo
The one and only – is eternal life.
25See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,
We should not be alarmist prophesying what things will happen for:
1. God has appointed a great shaking on the Earth. What cannot be shaken will remain.
Isaiah 13:13 13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;
and the earth will shake from its place
at the wrath of the LORD Almighty,
in the day of his burning anger.
Isaiah 24:18b 18 Whoever flees at the sound of terror
will fall into a pit;
whoever climbs out of the pit
will be caught in a snare.
The floodgates of the heavens are opened,
the foundations of the earth shake.
2. These are just the pre-views of what things to come.
7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Earthquake has become common occurs that it will not be surprise when ends times comes.
Ex. Labor pain of mother when the baby is about to come.
People are shaken to warm us something big is coming. Calamity shows that our property doesn’t matter. When earthquake comes everything is lost.
3. There’s place that cannot be shaken. The kingdom of God.
Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
Lamentations 5:19 You, O LORD, reign forever;
your throne endures from generation to generation.
A. Our God is in control He will rule forever.
B. The throne represents God itself.
10He also says,
“In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.”
“Be in Christ” be in-removable
C. Grace and Judgment the throne of judgment is for none believers. There’s no condemnation for those who walk with Jesus.
You can’t worship God to earn His blessings. You’re worshiping because you are blessed.
Appreciate what God has done, response to His grace. Continue by faith. Is God your treasure or it is the world your treasure?
4. The word of God cannot be shaken.
Isaiah 14:8 Even the pine trees and the cedars of Lebanon
exult over you and say,
“Now that you have been laid low,
no woodsman comes to cut us down.”
1 Peter 1:25 but the word of the Lord stands forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.
It is God’s word the pastor is just the speaker. The word of God has power you simply preach it.
Three Things that can’t be shaken:
- Power Hebrews 3:2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house.
Wicked – once who was good became bad. Possible once we were good and became wicked.
3. The church of God can’t be shaken.
Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Stay on course, don’t go left or right. What shall we do in living at the shaken world?
Keep looking to Jesus Christ and fixing our eyes in Jesus. We shouldn’t be worry about changing economy. Establish your priority:
- God/Jesus (I’m in L.A.) – Lord’s Affair. Be concern about the Lord’s affair. Continue to be faithful.
- Family if you’re married your spouse and children are your priority.
